CHALLENGES
VITA Student enlisted the professional services of Make Events to organise their inaugural “Big Talks” event since the onset of the pandemic. The core objective of VITA’s “Big Talk” events is to motivate university students residing within VITA accommodation and equip them with insights on diverse industries.
SOLUTIONS
The inaugural VITA ‘big talks’ event took place in the Central Manchester accommodation, whereby the lounge area was repurposed into a professional setting with the incorporation of chairs, staging, and gobo projections, in order to maximise the use of the available space.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with canapés and a Prosecco reception, creating a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. The event featured a talk and Q&A session from Sally McBeth, Head of Product at the BBC. The objective of the event was to provide VITA students with insights into the media industry and opportunities for career development.
