The Brief

After two successful editions, Matillion returned to us for their third annual Super All Hands event—an immersive three-day conference for over 500 delegates and partners from their global teams. With a familiar venue and event structure, the challenge was to keep the experience fresh, deliver engaging content, and add moments of surprise—while also ensuring plenty of opportunities for connection, entertainment, and celebration.

We transformed Manchester Central into a vibrant Matillion Hub once again, using bold branding, large-scale print, and dynamic digital screens to reimagine the space. The venue featured a high-impact main stage, breakout rooms, and an engaging Expo Hall with over 40 exhibitors. Throughout the three days, the conference hosted keynote speeches, interactive sessions, and surprise moments—including a live interview with Matillion CEO Matthew Scullion led by Jake Humphrey, and a thrilling keynote from Bear Grylls (complete with a maggot breakfast challenge!).

To balance business with fun, we delivered a full fringe activity programme and a showstopping retro-themed party. Guests enjoyed arcade games, dodgems, UV mini golf, karaoke and more—an unforgettable way to end the event. Every department at Make Events was involved, from logistics and registration to creative production and on-site delivery, ensuring every detail ran seamlessly.

Over 500 global employees came together under one roof, leaving the event aligned, inspired, and celebrated. The full delegate journey was flawlessly managed, while a vibrant expo featuring over 40 exhibitors supported internal alignment and innovation. Memorable surprises, including a visit from Bear Grylls and a retro-themed party, created lasting impressions, and seamless execution across three days earned universal praise from attendees.
