The Brief

Shoosmiths wanted to bring together three separate departments, each of which had historically held their own conferences, into one large-scale combined event for 2025. The objective was to encourage collaboration, improve cross-selling across departments, share best practice, and help teams better understand each other’s sectors and services. Ultimately, the event needed to support business growth through stronger collaboration, improved client acquisition and retention, and a focus on client excellence.

We created a new overarching event brand that could be used annually, launching the first event under the theme Convergence to represent three departments coming together as one. The visual identity was built around three distinct colours representing each department, connected by a strong visual thread running through the branding and messaging. We developed a full communications and registration platform and worked closely with the internal communications team to build a structured messaging plan that launched months ahead of the event, ensuring delegates understood the purpose, outcomes, and importance of the conference.

We managed full event logistics, delegate management, and programme delivery for around 700 attendees, including accommodation, travel, conference production, breakout sessions, keynote speaker, and evening event. The agenda was carefully designed to balance department time with collaborative sessions, while the evening experience was tailored to delegates’ interests with interactive entertainment, networking spaces, and a fully branded event environment.

LSE 2025 successfully brought three departments together under one unified event for the first time, encouraging collaboration, networking, and knowledge sharing across the business. The event supported Shoosmiths’ objectives around cross-selling, client excellence, and internal collaboration, while delivering a highly engaging delegate experience across both the conference and evening event. The new event brand and format also created a scalable platform for future annual conferences.
