CHALLENGES
Lookfantastic approached Make Events to help bring to life their premiere event, where they showcased their top 40 brands to the press and influencers from across the globe.
SOLUTIONS
Due to the nature of the guest list, the event needed to be as immersive and Instagrammable as possible. From the moment the delegates stepped through the door of The Monastery, all of their senses were engaged. Whether that was from the apothecary perfume room and selfie balloon wall, or the plinths topped with new products to try.
A main feature was the 7ft advent calendar that Make Events constructed to celebrate the launch of Lookfantastic’s beauty advent calendar. Guests could open a door of the calendar and help themselves to products available on the website. In the main space, there was a stage area with a live feed where talks and demos were held throughout the day. Beauty journalist, Nadine Baggott led the days’ talks including an introduction from some of the brands’ founders and a discussion on going digital.
A number of the brands also hired rooms in the Monastery to use as their own showcase where masterclasses and consultations were throughout the day. Lookfantastic took over one of the meeting rooms in the Monastery to use as their Social Studio. This is where tutorials and interviews were conducted and uploaded straight to their Instagram and Twitter channels. Make Events then transformed the venue to suit their evening gala dinner with entertainment.
RETURN ON INVESTMENT
We had maximum attendance, with influencers and press at the event, it was total of 400 attending. The premiere received a lot of social media and press coverage.
