The Brief

As a long-standing events partner, Make Events was tasked with delivering Co-op’s large-scale Trade Show, supported by an industry body. The brief was to bring together 1,000 suppliers, stakeholders, and internal representatives for a full day of networking, showcasing, and learning under the theme “Co-operating for Growth.” The challenge was to design an exhibition space that was both functional and future-facing, reflecting Co-op’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and partnership.

We conceptualised a fresh, clean, and sustainable exhibition design that guided delegates naturally through the space. Tailored footprints were created for each exhibitor, with key Co-op departments given prominent positioning. A central stage served as the anchor, supported by flown projection screens at either end that streamed live content from the auditorium, allowing networking to continue without missing the agenda. Bespoke brand activations brought Co-op’s values to life, making abstract concepts tangible and memorable. From creative production to intricate logistics, every element was carefully managed to ensure a seamless, engaging experience.

Our team delivered an end-to-end solution for 1,000 attendees, combining smart exhibition layouts, live streaming, and immersive brand activations. The design encouraged interaction, networking, and continuous engagement while reinforcing Co-op’s messaging. Every detail — from spatial planning and technical production to activations and on-the-day coordination — was executed to ensure delegates had a meaningful, memorable experience.

The trade show was hailed as the best to date by the Co-op Events Team. Over 1,000 delegates attended and remained actively engaged throughout the day. The smart exhibition design enabled flexible networking without missing key content, while bespoke brand activations enhanced message delivery. Positive feedback was received across suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams, reinforcing Co-op’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and partnership.
