That’s a wrap for season one of the Anything is Possible podcast!
Earlier this year, we launched our very first podcast, hosted by CEO and Founder of Make Events, Holly Moore. In the podcast, Holly shares empowering conversations with inspirational brands and individuals; many of whom have inspired her through the growth of Make Events.
If you’ve not listened to the Anything is Possible podcast yet, don’t panic! There’s a jam-packed season full of inspirational stories – from business, to fitness, to brand growth, to facing challenges and overcoming adversity. And the best thing? We’re just getting started!
Before season two launches, we wanted to share some of our top moments from the first ever season of Anything is Possible, with links to catch up and hear from our incredible guests.
- There is no barrier to success, at any age:
‘There’s nothing that should ever stop you, especially your age’
Joan Macdonald, Fitness and Wellbeing Influencer, episode 4
We were feeling SO motivated by the incredible ‘Train with Joan’ who shared her story of beginning weight training at age 70! Joan is an inspiration to everyone that you CAN change your life with determination, no matter your age.
- Your life can change in a moment. Make the most of it:
‘You never think something like this will happen to you’
Sian Lord, Model & Motivational Speaker, episode 3
In 2013 Sian was on holiday with her best friend in New York, when she made a decision to walk one way rather than the other, a decision which changed her life forever when she was hit by a taxi, resulting in a severe accident and navigating life as an amputee. This episode helped us all to put life in perspective and realise we all have one body, one life.
- Put yourself first. Check your body and be aware of changes.
‘Please get tested’
Jacqueline Gold, Executive Chair of Ann Summers, episode 1
Jacqueline shared her very personal story on the first episode of the podcast, and encouraged men and women to please get tested if they notice anything abnormal or changes to their body. This episode also raises awareness of the BRCA gene, which mainly affects those of Jewish heritage, and can increase the risk of breast cancer.
- Always prioritise the things and people that make you happy.
‘Don’t stay in unhappy relationships or unhappy jobs’
Fred Done, Boss of BetFred, episode 6
Manchester-based self made billionaire and Boss of BetFred is a great client and friend of Make Events, and at almost 80 years old, talked candidly on the podcast about scaling businesses, finding and losing your soulmate, and the importance of wellbeing. A truly must-listen episode!
- ‘Success can be whatever you want it to be’
Holly Moore, CEO and Founder of Make Events, episode 5
We couldn’t not mention our incredible podcast host! Holly has her very own episode where we turn the tables and interview her on her own story of setting up Make Events from scratch at her dining room table 10 years ago, and also what Anything is Possible means to her.
Hear Holly’s story and so many more at the very first Anything is Possible conference!
