A Once in a Lifetime Incentive Trip to Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Make Events, although an events company in Manchester, organise overseas incentive trips to reward and motivate teams. We recently experienced life as a delegate and spent four jam packed days in Dubai and Abu Dhabi – both destinations scream glamour and extravagance.

DAY 1
Flying your delegates in business class means the VIP treatment starts with bubbles and a buffet in the Etihad Business Lounge. Upon arrival, you will be fast tracked through immigration and your bags waiting for you ready to go – it took us just 20 minutes!

Already, your delegates are feeling like royalty.

Morning and Lunch: Boat Life Charter a luxury yacht and jet ski around the Palm, paired with free flowing canapรฉs and drinks – what a way to start an incentive! Theyโ€™re very accommodating for dietary requirements with lots of food to cater for everyone.

We enjoyed the private yacht, with music pumping through the speakers for half a day with beautiful views of Dubaiโ€™s most famous landmarks, including Atlantis, The Palm and Burj al-Arab. Lunch and refreshments were served onboard and we were encouraged to chill out, sunbathe and enjoy the waters.

Evening: Downtown Dubai
Burj Khalifa โ€“ For cocktails in the clouds, we headed up to the 122nd floor to At.Mosphere bar with 360 degree views over Dubai. There is a VIP Private dining room for 16 people which is a celeb favourite (Justin Bieber, in fact). This is a unique high end setting that your delegates wouldn’t want to turn down.

Pre dinner drinks at Armani Hotel – The Armani Hotel offers an elegant respite away from the bustling city. Its contemporary interpretation of a modern European terrace has been designed and furnished in the Giorgio Armani style, with incredible views over the Dubai Fountains.

No trip to Dubai would be complete without viewing the fountains. Every 30 minutes the show begins, accompanied by music and light. The water comes to life and different music is played at each show, providing a truly unique experience.La Perle by Franco Dragone – La Perle is a theatre show that will transport you into another world of entertainment. It is due to open at the end of this month (August 2017), with over 450 performances every year using over 2.7 million tonnes of water!

The show is presented in a 1,300 seat purpose built, state of the art theatre. This is bound to be one of Dubaiโ€™s future stand out attractions! Created and produced by one of the worldโ€™s most renowned artistic directors, Franco Dragone, La Perle is sure to transport audiences into another world.

DAY 3
Morning: A Seaplane Tour
Picked up by a stretch hummer at the hotel, we headed to the harbour where we boarded a Seaplane over to Abu Dhabi โ€“ this is a much more exciting mode of transport for guests. Take a look down at the breathtaking views of Dubai and Abu Dhabi from the sky!Check in: Yas Viceroy Hotel

Head over to the Yas Marina Circuit, which is the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Here, your delegates will be treated to a site tour and Drag race competition.

Youโ€™ll get kitted up with helmets and safety equipment then let loose to race around the track in pairs. A thrilling activity for any car enthusiasts or adrenaline junky!

Evening: Saadiyat Beach Club – www.saadiyatbeachclub.ae
This A-list hangout has everything you could need to chill out in Dubai. Escape to their natural beach and laze around in your private cocoon; take a dip in the 650 sqm pool surrounded by private cabanas, then head to the spa or get into shape in the workout room with a view.

This place is seriously cool, they have DJs, live music and even a mermaid at the club.DAY 4
Morning: Take a tour around Abu Dhabi
The highlight of our tour around Abu Dhabi; which took us to the Guggenheim and the Etihad Observation desk, was our tour around the Skeikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This is a must do when in Abu Dhabi. Learning about the history of the Mosque and facts behind the dรฉcor is an afternoon not to be missed.Afternoon: Ceviche Class at Asia de Cuba – www.asiadecuba.com/abu_dhabi
After watching the chef from Asia de Cuba whip up ceviche, we had our own go, wearing branded aprons, we really felt the part. We then ate these as a starter to our lunch at Asia de Cuba. This is a really fun team building activity, it was light hearted so everyone had an enjoyable time.

The location of the restaurant was perfect, youโ€™re able to stroll right onto the beach, with incredible views for miles to see.Evening: Desert Theatrical Experience and a night under the starsHeading into the desert in a 4×4, we didnโ€™t know what we were in for when we were โ€˜extractedโ€™ from our vehicle in a theatrical performance. We were kept on our toes walking over the sand dunes to our โ€˜safe placeโ€™. We were then trained by ex military professionals on how to build a fire and make water in the desert – all necessary survival skills. This was followed by sand dune bashing, camel rides, sledding and dinner under the stars. A great team building activity!Has this interested you in Dubai?
