How we’re making Venue Finding safe for 2021

Finding the perfect venue for your event can be time consuming work, especially in a global pandemic.

Why not sit back, relax and let us do the legwork. The joy of our venue finding service is that it’s usually free for our clients.

We’ll take time to get to know you properly and really understand your specific requirements. Only then will we start our search for a venue that’s perfect for you, whether that’s down the road or on the other side of the world.

We understand that it can be daunting after a year of no events, so we have answered some frequently asked questions we’ve had!

How do site visits work?
Visiting venues to get the look and feel of the place is vital in making the right venue selection. Since 29th March, show rounds for potential business events in venues, closed or open, have been able to resume.

If you don’t feel comfortable going to a physical site visit, a lot of venues provide virtual tours so you can still plan the logistics and creative elements of your events. Apart from a virtual site tour, we can also provide you with a diagram of their facility.

Have capacities changed?
Venues have had to move quickly to develop procedures to create events in a COVID safe environment. Each venue has different revised capacities, but Make Events take the time to understand your needs and make sure you and your team are safe.

How will catering work?
Our goal is to minimise the number of instances where people have to establish contact with each other.

Buffets and shared platters are off the cards for the time being, but that doesn’t mean you can’t feed your guests! Bento boxes and packaged meals can be delivered to guests to avoid them congregating in one area.

Currently, catering can be provided at meetings and events for essential work, education and training purposes. This does not extend to activities that are not strictly related to the essential work, education or training, such as private dining or social purposes with work colleagues. If an essential work, education or training activity changes into a primarily social gathering, then social contact and indoor hospitality restrictions apply, and the activity must stop.

How will the actual event be safe?
Whilst the government had not produced definitive guidelines, we have been working with those in the industry and Health and Safety experts to enable us to create safe events.

Measures include:
Sanitisers available
Regular cleaning throughout the event
One-way systems
Limits on numbers
Organised social distanced queuing
