The best in the North West – our favourite Manchester conference venues

Manchester boasts some of the North West’s best conference venues. Hot favourites of ours include Hotel Football and Victoria Warehouse but we don’t want to get accused of favouritism so we should also give shout outs to the fabulous St John Street Hotel, Radisson Blu, the Midland, the Principal and the Etihad Stadium, amongst many other fantastic options.

Quite simply we’re spoiled for choice but we thought we’d turn the spotlight on two very different Manchester conference venues and see how they stack up.

Victoria Warehouse – a perfect canvas

Built in the 1900s and renovated into one of Manchester’s most exciting event spaces, the historic Victoria Warehouse is perfect for corporate events with a gritty, urban edge and high class touches. Versatile and massively flexible, the distinctive space with its industrial backdrop provides the perfect blank canvas for any event. We’ve used it as an exciting and imaginative conference venue but have also seen it transformed by fashion catwalks and car displays. It also works well for rebrand reveals, team building activities and smaller meetings.

There are a number of different sized spaces within Victoria Warehouse, each one perfect for creating a unique atmosphere through inspired lighting.

The catering is also fabulous, definitely no floppy egg sandwiches here. The team at Victoria Warehouse uses only carefully-sourced, high quality ingredients, all imaginatively presented with style and flair.

Hotel Football – in the premier league?

Famously owned by Manchester United’s Class of 92, Hotel Football is another of the Make Events team favourites. Definitely not just a choice for football fans alone, with stunning views over Old Trafford, Media City and the Imperial War Museum, the hotel is one of Manchester’s best conference venues. We love the impressive rooftop bar space with retractable roof which is available for hire and is simply perfect for an event on a balmy summer’s evening.

Priceless memorabilia is dotted around the conference rooms, making it ideal for football fans and inspiring business teams to succeed. The hotel rooms are modern and bright and come with complimentary WiFi and some really thoughtful finishing touches for guests staying overnight. We particularly loved the free minibar and the bespoke Class of ’92 bathroom smellies which you are allowed to take home in a gorgeous goody bag.

With surprisingly high end dining, the head chef at Hotel Football could easily give Manchester’s other Michelin star contenders a run for their money.
