With lockdown restrictions easing (hopefully) on June 21st, this means you can start planning your summer and Christmas parties, awards ceremonies and conferences.
Virtual events will continue into 2022, not only because of the effects of Covid-19 and social distancing but because of some of the benefits such as less travel, expenses and time. However, there is no denying that the feeling of a live event can’t be emulated online.
It is our job as events planners to reassure you, our attendees, that you’re in a safe space!
Here is what we’ll be considering…
Venue Finding
Visiting venues to get the look and feel of the place is vital in making the right venue selection. Since 29th March, show rounds for potential business events in venues, closed or open, have been able to resume.
If you don’t feel comfortable going to a physical site visit, a lot of venues provide virtual tours so you can still plan the logistics and creative elements of your events. Apart from a virtual site tour, we can also provide you with a diagram of their facility.
Social Distancing Measures
Whilst the government had not produced definitive guidelines, we have been working with those in the industry and Health and Safety experts to enable us to create safe events after June 21st, 2021.

Hybrid Events
To create a hybrid event, you take your live event, complete with an audience, content, and more, and you add a virtual component to it so your audience can participate and engage with your event, no matter where they are.
If there are limitations on how many people you can physically fit in a venue, hybrid is the perfect way to reach audiences that either can’t make it or don’t feel comfortable in a live setting just yet.
This also ensures your event is diverse and accessible for everyone who wants to experience it. For those with disabilities or childcare needs, hybrid events are perfect. As Denise Mapp said on The Make Events Show Industry Panel: “People do crave the interaction of live, but my concern is how do we include those who don’t feel comfortable? How do we minimise the risk for these people?”
